Undoubtedly, digital media provide tools that make the impossible happen. It has several purposes whether it serves people in business, entertainment, and politics. These purposes could happen by using a specific technological trick, bots, and following trending rules. I like the way you summarise the conditions of how the online content could go viral and your given examples.

This phenomenon has been widely affected by the way we live and think. The most significant elements in getting video viral, in my opinion, which social media gets an advantage of, are playing on people's emotions, free idea, and triggers. These represent the role in driving people's choices unconsciously to follow the trend according to Berger video. Also, this comes along with an interesting TED talk by (Allocca, 2012) who suggested that tastemakers, creative participating and complete unexpectedness help in the contagions of videos. Finally, the point of timing is another vital aspect that companies or influencers pay attention to.

In my point of view, I agree

that tastemakers are the one who played a crucial role in turning videos go viral. I think it is essential to be aware that if something is going viral, that doesn't mean necessarily to be right as the video above shows the difference between before and after. The concept of virality is applicable in many aspects of life; for instance, some pharmaceutical companies allege that they have a cure for cancer.

On the other hand, from a political perspective, a great example is given about how Tinder is used exploiting people by using bots that (Gorwa and Guilbeault, 2017). “Online environments are fostering the growth of deceptive political practices, and it does not bode well for society if resorting to these kinds of tactics becomes the norm.” Thus, it is hard to find authenticity and transparency within political bots that manipulate the results under the pretext of democracy.
