The pie chart above shows an overview of what is happening within 60 Internet seconds in the digital sphere globally. It is no wonder to see the number of emails sent is the highest compared to other media platforms. This entails how emails consider the most digital used medium around the world. Also, WhatsApp and Messenger apps constitute the second big number as communication means by 41.6 million messages sent in one minute. For other social media apps, Snap chat occupies the number one with 2.1 million snaps created, then 1 million logging in Facebook and almost half a million scrolling Instagram. Twitter get the lowest interaction by 87500 tweets only in 60 seconds. For Twitter, as a gulf resident, I am surprised by the previous number as Twitter considers the most used platform in the Gulf. Additionally, an astonishing number, just imagine, with one million dollars are spent in every 60 seconds on the internet. On the other hand, it seems that academic social platforms such as academia and ResearchGate are not breaking any to be included in the 2019 one Internet minute. The numbers will certainly record a remarkable increase next year with almost 400,000 Apps download every minute.
